Hereford Update - December 23, 2016

Spotted Lanternfly Calendar Contest Winners

Two of Mrs. Rice's fourth grade students won the PA Department of Agriculture state calendar contest bringing attention to the invasive spotted lanternfly. A representative from the PA Department of Agriculture will be coming out to the school in January to recognize these two students.
  • Amelia Taylor scored the highest of all of the entries and won the grand prize. Her artwork will be displayed on both the cover and inside the calendar. She will receive a prize pack and certificate at the ceremony.
  • Eden Kraus took fourth place for the age range third and fourth grade. Her artwork will also be displayed in the calendar and she will be recognized at the ceremony as well.
